Many of us would probably agree that Chinese style seafood is one of the best kinds of seafood in KL. Hop on over to Muhibbah Seafood and have a go at the deep fried sotong (squid), featuring a crunchy and savoury outer layer that hides soft and tender chunks of meat. This is another famous Chinese Restaurant found along Jalan Aminuddin Baki. It has garnered quite the reputation for being a favourite haunt for local residents looking to get their seafood fix. It features a huge outdoor seating area and a quaint indoor section for those wanting a little privacy. Go ahead and try the Asam Fish with a tasty mix of sweet and sour flavours (slightly on the spicy side).

This established restaurant isn’t exclusively a seafood place but a large portion of its menu selection is dedicated to amazing shellfish dishes like Chef Hong Sang Har Mee (a noodle-based meal with 2 huge prawns). Vegetable side dishes include Green Dragon with Beansprout and Braised Fresh Mushroom with Beancurd.

In TTDI, you can find that many consider this popular seafood place up there in terms of having the best tasting dishes among TTDI’s many great food joints. You get to choose how your fish is cooked from a variety of styles (sambal, garlic steamed, chili padi steamed, ginger steamed, Teow Chew steamed), the list goes on and on.

Don’t forget to savour some of the other dishes (look forward to flavour as well as crunch with the butter prawns and butter squid).

Located on the lower ground floor of the LGB Tower, Golden Valley is known as a humble Halal Chinese restaurant that serves authentic seafood (among other dishes). Expect excellent customer service too. Try the Yam basket prawns dipped in special sauce.

This casual seafood joint is unique in its offerings and cooking styles. Look forward to mouthwatering seafood favourites combined with quite a Western edge. Try the soft crabby burger (a modern fusion of softshell crabs squeezed in between black charcoal and mixed sauces) or opt for a classic Fish & Chips featuring New Zealand wild caught fish coated and fried to a golden crisp.
